OKLO URANIUM LIMITED

Oklo Uranium Limited - World Map locations, Niger, Mali and AustraliaOklo Uranium Limited is a Perth based junior exploration company that successfully listed on the ASX in May 2007 (ASX: OKU). Initially a dedicated uranium explorer, the company has now also moved into phosphate exploration with the acquisition of the Tatteul Phosphate Project in Mali and pending grant of the Burke River Phosphate Project in Queensland.

In light of the recent global credit crisis and its affect on world markets, both in terms of capital markets and commodities, Oklo has developed a two-point strategy that will place Oklo on a firm footing moving forward. In these challenging times, the first component of this strategy is to rationalise all uranium exploration within Australia while maintaining the company’s very large Mali and Niger uranium interests, the second component is the broadening of the portfolio that will include phosphate.

The world’s most pressing needs in the next twenty to thirty years are two-fold: clean base-load power and food.  Uranium for nuclear power stations is the only real solution to the world’s clean power requirements. The use of naturally occurring in-organic mineral fertilisers such as phosphate to increase crop yield on an ever-decreasing.

Oklo’s mission statement

To provide share-holder wealth through successful exploration and the commercial exploitation of the Planet’s requisite commodities, uranium for power and phosphate for food.

Oklo is focused on leveraging its strong technical capability with the use of local expertise and established relationships in Mali and Niger, to develop the West African uranium and phosphate assets into a flagship “Super Project”. In close proximity to existing uranium and phosphate mines and established infrastructure, this large multi-commodity project has tremendous exploration potential and has the benefit of being close to processing facilities.

Oklo will investigate the possibility of developing the Tatteul Phosphate Project into a revenue-producing activity in the short to medium term by the possible production of rock phosphate, considered an organic fertiliser.

This two-pronged strategy places Oklo very well in the new post-Global Credit Crisis era and well into the ensuing global phase of high power and food demands.
